Flow 7 seas
2021-2100
The photographic project FLOW explores the adaptation and resilience of people and territories at risk of marine submersion in the context of climate change based on the prevision maps of climate central in 2100. I initiate the project in France in the extraordinary site of Baie de Somme, in the Shannon Estuary and actually in Saint Louis Sénégal. For Four years, at the sea level, I explored the possible flow of the water from the actual coastline to the future coastline, and the consequences for the ecosystem, the territory and the people. I decided to create a monumental photographic map and video Mapping in each country.

Video Mapping FLOW
As part of the development of the project, I created a Videomapping on the light house of the Baie de Somme. The originality relies on the projection of images taken in the territory and projected on an iconic building raising questions for the audience. The projection was part of the International Videomapping Festival 2023. In 2024 a new videomapping took place on a music kiosk in Le Crotoy
Baie de Somme 2021-2100
As one example of the territories at risk in the world, the map of the Baie de Somme shows the changes of the water level that I used to carry the project.
Exhibitions
Exhibitions can be hired for a gallery or a special event. The presentation questions the audience about the futur. It is installed in Le Hourdel where I carried the work, In Situ, and is currently travelling in the region to create debates with the communities through art.
A collaborative project
As part of the research, I photograph the fisherman of the coques which represent an important rôle in the local economy. This activity may have to adapt in the futur. I suggested to involved them in a temporary outdoor installation directly on the coast with the idea to bring art as close to the people as possible.
As part of the research, the last exhibition invited children to take part in a creative workshop about their perceptions of the futur. The audience takes part in the opening and discover the work of the children and a projection of photographs with music live and lectures of texts.
